Hazel holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Social Policy and Sociology, which had a particular focus in social work and domestic violence. She is currently undertaking a four-year Master’s in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the School of Medicine, UCD, based at St Vincent’s University Hospital.
Hazel previously worked for under two years as a student therapist at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), working with adults aged 18 to 65 across a range of concerns.
Hazel works from a psychoanalytically informed position, with a strong belief in the importance of speaking and listening in the therapeutic relationship. She is interested in what can emerge through putting experiences, thoughts and feelings into words, and in attending to what may become apparent through the process of speaking.
